Cape Cod’s Cornerstone Cafe – Bagels & Beyond

Going down to Cape Cod is a quintessential part of growing up in Massachusetts. No matter who you are or what you do, you will eventually end up on the cape if you move to mass. That’s one of the beautiful things about Cape Cod, it isn’t like the Hamptons where everything’s exclusive.

For breakfast there is only one place that I can recommend this heavily and this certainly. Bagels & Beyond on Main St in West, Yarmouth has the most incredible blueberry muffin (order toasted with butter) and bagels you’ll ever have. Obviously all sorts of different flavors of bagels, incredible cream cheese, and not light on the spread.

When I say they are not light on the spread, they are NOT light on the spread. You will get an insane amount of cream cheese to the point where you will wonder if it was a mistake and all the other bagels are coming out differently than yours. No, you aren’t the bad egg, all bagels are made equally at Bagels & Beyond, they all have a half inch of cream cheese on them, which in a weird way makes them even more delicious and uniquely satisfying. This is America, the land of more, not less.

They also use kosher sea salt which is a huge plus for me, I don’t only eat kosher but I use Keltic sea salt at home and I’ll swear by it. It’s healthy and also good for hydration if you use it in water. You don’t see a lot of places prioritize quality these days.

To give you a bit of an aesthetic feel of the area I went and included some pictures I personally took. I started writing this blog in Waltham and now I am going to be finishing it inside Bagels & Beyond in Cape Cod.
It’s an hour and 20 minutes from Newton to West Yarmouth, if you go when there’s no traffic and put it in sport mode you can make it in an hour and five. (Not that I ever do that, speed responsibly)
